Upon revisiting Purble Place, it took me back to my childhood, much like the scene in Ratatouille where Anton Ego ate the special dish, which transported him back to his memories. Words cannot describe how special the game feels. In one click, I was able to enjoy three different games. After conducting a detailed inspection, I found several factors that I will analyze.
Three in One Game
Purble Place includes three different games. Purble Pairs, Comfy Cakes, and Purble Shop. These three games have unique gameplay, and most of them are easy to play. Personally, I loved Comfy Cakes. In that game, you have to make cakes matching the picture. Most importantly, it’s very calming and enjoyable.
Adjustable Difficulty
Sometimes, when you play a video game, it doesn't always have to pose a challenge. Similarly, in Purble Place, I found it very easy to play. However, I thought, why not give myself a challenge and test the difficulties as the game lets you choose from beginner, intermediate, and expert levels. Indeed, it becomes challenging when you choose the expert difficulty, but it does not ruin the thrill.
Vibrant Artstyle
When I played Purble Place, I always admired the art style. While the graphics are not very modern, the art style fills that gap, as the vibrant characters and objects make the game look appealing. Personally, I find the characters very cute, and the mix of bright colors always makes me admire the game's look.
Designed for All
Despite the game being made for children, you can be an adult and still have fun playing this game. When I played Purble Pairs, I became so engrossed in solving the puzzle that I lost track of time and continued playing. The simplistic gameplay design is what makes the game perfect, allowing everyone to enjoy it.
Final Thoughts
Purble Place is a blast from the past, and revisiting it from time to time takes me back to those days when I used to play the game every time I opened my computer. Still, the game retains that essence, and it’s a fantastic time killer. Not to mention, if I get bored, there are three games that I can always switch to.
